Invite: Parade With Us!

Chicago Audiomakers Collective has been invited as our city’s representative audio guild to take part in the Arts in the Dark Parade on Saturday, October 18th! RSVP HERE — the more the merrier!

We want you to come too! Bring your kids, loved ones, and colleagues! Feel free to forward this invite to someone who you think should be a part of the Chicago Audiomakers Collective. (It'll always be free to join CAC and be part of our local talent directory.)

What a way to round out CAC’s first official year!

OUR PARADE PLAN:

All audio folks document, observe, and record. In that spirit, CAC will document the parade through ambient recording, interviews, and more!

This subsequent collection will be shared with parade organizers. It will be made available as an archive along with video and photography!

Join us on Saturday October 18, 2025! It all begins after sundown in The Loop.

We’ll be crafting parade signs and puppets at October’s monthly CAC Meet-up on Thursday, October 2nd (location tba), so make sure to come through then too!

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?

1. If you’d like to walk with us, please RSVP here! Please include an estimate of your whole party so we can get a headcount!
2. Prep a LOUD outfit. Let’s go big — bring out the boas in the big hats! At minimum, please wear any/all of the colors of that familiar volume meter. (This includes a gradient of colors from green to yellow to red. Bonus points for wearing all three!)
3. Come to parade prep at CAC’s IRL October meetup (location tba), where we’ll make signs & craft puppets. Save the Date: Thursday, October 2nd!
