Audio Flux and Arts in the Dark!
For those of us who made it to our summer event, Audio Flux in Chicago, you'll know that Audio Flux, the home for innovative short form audio, is taking submissions for Circuit 06. The deadline for those submissions is 9/15!
CAC is compiling all of the Chicago Audio Flux submissions to celebrate our city's role in creative and experimental audio. If you're taking part in the current Audio Flux circuit (and we really hope you are!) please share your entry with us at info@chiaudiocollective.com. We'll feature it on our website and we're also cooking up a listening event.
Arts in the Dark Parade
Last week we announced our inclusion in the 11th annual Arts in the Dark Parade. Arts in the Dark is a celebration of Chicago's vibrant arts and cultural communities. CAC is representing our cities historic and important audio community!
We're looking for people to march with us in the parade — and we think you should be one of those people!
How to participate
Joining the parade is dead simple, and it'll be so fun and important to celebrate our art form, especially at a time like this.
- If you’d like to walk with us, please RSVP here! Please include an estimate of your whole party so we can get a headcount!
- Prep a LOUD outfit. Let’s go big — bring out the boas in the big hats! At minimum, please wear any/all of the colors of that familiar volume meter. (This includes a gradient of colors from green to yellow to red. Bonus points for wearing all three!)
- Come to parade prep at CAC’s IRL October meetup (location tba), where we’ll make signs & craft puppets. Save the Date: Thursday, October 2nd!
